Just installed AR 9.1A and OE 8.1F
In OE when in the "Enter Orders/Invoices/Credit Note" - "NEW" -"Customer" field, and I press the F6 Finder key I get this "Invalid Pointer Operation" Error. I have not tested extensively but other search situations seem to work correctly.
Whats-Up?

There was a similar issue in Job Cost a couple of monthly ago. For AR & OE you did not mention the release dates in use. Please check with your Adagio dealer to make sure that you have all required Service Packs and Hot Fixes installed.

Hi,

I believe you are referring specifically to pressing F6 in the Customer code field on the New Order window when creating a new order from the Orders/Invoices/Credit Notes window.

I've tested this using that release and a few different datasets, following the search through to selecting a customer and am not receiving that error at any point. Nor, do I have other reports of this behaviour.

If you open sample data located at yourserverdrive:\Softrak\OEWIN\Samdata using extension SAM and do the same things, do you receive the same error using F6 in that Customer fields?

I suspect that something did not install properly when you installed the upgrades. Were there any error or warning messages received during the installs?

If you receive the same error using sample data, you will need to have everyone out of Adagio and do the install again.

Hi, again,

If you drill down to your data folder, do you see any files having TB as the first two characters?

I too sometimes get the "invalid pointer operation" error when using the F6 key in AR V9.1A (130606) to find customers. I first saw this error in Dec 2013.

I noticed in my data folder there are two files stating TBLRSC.DAT and TBPRSC.DAT both dated 2/17/2004.
