An error message appeared on one of our workstations yesterday when trying to access the Order Entry module. Message read "Access violation at address 00460B5C in module 'OEWIN.EXE'. Read of address 0000005C." When clicking OK a second messgae appeared "Unable to load ADS DLL".
the module shut down after that. After checking all other modules have a similar message. All other workstations are working normally and are able to access all modules. I am suspect that it is the workstation and not the server. any ideas?

ADS.DLL (actually ADS32.DLL) is the database access layer for Adagio and is loaded from \Softrak\System at the very early stages of startup. An application can't do much of anything if it isn't found.

Since other workstations are running fine, then this is likely either a rights issue, hardware problem or Domain Controller issue (if you use one).

Does it happen when DataCare is running unattended or when the user is logged in and tries to run a job?

Running unattended. And not every time.
Logging in and running a job is fine.

Are you logged in when you are running unattended? If not, then there are no drive mappings and you must set up Adagio to use UNC's.

Yes, they leave the computer on, and are not logged off the network.

It sounds like the connection to the network is sometimes disconnected from inactivity.

In the past, I've used a utility called Network Drive Manager to keep mapped drives alive when they are not in use.
