AR 9.1A is forcing to store electronic statements to PDF. If your security settings don’t allow the user to change user’s PDF options, the PDF file doesn’t open by default even when you set it up for All Users. In AR 9.0C, paperless settings did not force statements to PDF. Statements need to be printed or e-mailed, there is no point on storing them electronically.
Our clients are finding this change very inconvenient. They have to work around it. Open the user option to change the PDF settings in order to open the PDF file after printing or previewing the statement before printing it. First option still leaves the electronic copy.
If there has been a request about doing it this way, could you make it optional?

Hi Patricia,

If your concern is that having the Paperless Reports option enabled for Adagio Receivables is forcing Statements to be generated to PDF in addition to reports, we can investigate having Statement forms not follow that setting and still allow printing.

Hi Patricia,
What we have been doing is printing from preview - had no problems, don't have to change settings, and statements aren't stored on disk. Seems a little slow when loading but I can't really remember how fast the previous version was.

The problem is that our client has 400 statements to print and the preview option just sends the statements to the default printer giving no chance to change the printer.

Yes, our concern is that AR is forcing the Statements to be generated to PDF. I have already two clients complaining about the same issue. If possible, we would like to be able to print the statements or have an option to select if we want to force the electronic copy or not.

In the mean time, if you wish to be able to Print statements to paper, please disable the Paperless reports option from User Preferences. This might also involve disabling the Force Paperless Reports from the AR company profile.

Note that this is not required if you want to Email or Fax customer statements, as these are not affected by the Paperless Reports function and continue to work as expected. This is only to allow printing statements to Paper. With Paperless reports disabled, you can still click the red eP button to generate the statements to PDFs.
