I had an item in inventory that was showing 2 items available in lot 1 but qty on hand as 0. I ran a data integrity check in PO, Inventory and OE. PO and Inventory were fine, but OE had an error, which stated:

"Item CH-ETHRE/10 ShipNotCosted at loc 1 is 2.00 calc 0.00".

What happens to create this error? When I click Rebuild in OE to correct the error will this also correct qty on hand in inventory?

Before you do anything, you should make a backup and then run dayend processing in OrderEntry. Running dayend zeroes out the ShipNotCosted fields.

Then if you run DIC and get the error, you should Rebuild. It will synch the item counts between the lots and the on hand qty. Repeat running DIC and rebuilding until there are no errors.

I completed backup, ran dayend and then I ran DIC previously, so I will rebuild.

Thanks very much,

But what makes this happen? Could this happen if there is a glitch in the system and you get disconnected from the server for a split second. The reason why I'm asking is when I am posting batches in any module it will say that it is not responding, I will wait a second and posting resumes. We have been trying to figure out why this is happen with no luck?
Please let me know if you have any suggestions for this issue?

Hi, Heather,

Not responding? To be sure it really isn't responding, open the Task Manager and add the I/O Bytes Read and I/O Bytes Write columns. Most often, 'not responding' is just a Microsoft message indicating that, while processing is occurring, it is occurring slowly for some reason -- RAM on workstation, anti-virus software scanning/updating, etc..

If a network connection is dropped/broken, Adagio becomes very unhappy. It's doubtful posting wouldn't simply resume in that case.

Probably best to engage the services of your Adagio Consultant and network tech to try to troubleshoot why the 'not responding' is occurring at your site.
