We recently purchased new computers with Windows 7 and were aware of the possible issues found in the link below:

We made the changes mentioned in the tech tips but two of the 3 stations still do not print Invoices properly, using Invoices (9.0B - 111102). The top and left margins are much smaller than the norm and the center box with description info is elongated with the lines no longer touching the totals box below it. We've compared the station that is printing the invoice properly against the others and can't find the differences!

Any help is much appreciated!

Karin:
Check whether Windows is using Inches or Metric. Start by looking at the computer that works (Control Panel | Region & Language | Additional Settings button and "Measurement system"). Then make the other 2 computers the same. If that doesn't work, let us know.

Make sure that all the workstations are using "Standard Sized" fonts. Large fonts cause issues with Adagio - especially the forms printing. Check out the Tech Tips page for a document regarding the issue.

OK, then next step: Go to Control Panel | Region & Language | Administrative tab and look at the "Language for non-Unicode programs". Make it the same as the one computer that prints properly. For instance, mine says "English (United States)". After saving the change, reboot the computer. I have seen this solve a similar problem at a client site.

You are a genius Bruce! The stations that were not printing correctly were set to non-unicode English (Canada) and had to be changed to English (U.S.). Not sure why they were different and wonder what the consequences might be in changing from Canada to U.S.? We'll see...

Not sure our IT department would have figured this out as quickly, thanks!

Could you please enhance the on-line document? This is a frequent problem with new computers installed in Canada and doesn't seem to be diminishing in frequency. Or even better, make it so that Adagio isn't affected by these settings. I know, easy to say, much harder to do! smile

The issue is that, in spite of the fact the Micrsoft headquarters are less than a day's drive from Vancouver on I5, they still don't know we use 8.5 x 11 inch paper in Canada.
