We are using Sales CQ 8.1B. Our "Destination Options" show only Printer or Screen. In Order Entry, we have Screen, Printer, and File.

We'd really like to have "File" in Sales CQ too! Is this available, or will be soon? Pretty please?!

Hi Barb,

The current version of SalesCQ 8.1C supports printing reports and quotes to the AdagioPDF printer, or a more organized way of stored PDF files if Adagio ePrint is installed.

Reports have the File destination that can be outputted to Word / Excel / HTML. Quote forms do not, though using AdagioPDF or ePrint does the PDF format that the File option provides.

Or do you want to print quotes to a Text or Rich Text format?

We are not looking at installing or purchasing eprint for a while, so would it be possible to add the ability to print to file to Sales CQ in the next update? Pretty please? Would help out tremendously!

Hi Barb,

Are you trying to print Quotes to Text or Rich Text format? Why are you looking for quotes to be printed to File?

I would like to be able to print to file so that we can then convert that file to a PDF and email it off. We have an upstairs and a downstairs. Anyone downstairs (the scanner is upstairs) has to print the quote, then run upstairs to scan it, then they can email it off to their customer. I know we can click on the print button from Quotes in Sales CQ, then email the quote, but that gives us no opportunity to add anything into the email. Optimally what we are after is to create an email with a nice comment, like "Thanks so much for letting us quote this, we will call you shortly. Please see attached quote" and be able to attach the quote.

Hi Barb,

Emailing in Adagio SalesCQ or other forms allows you to create an Email Cover with whatever text you want in the email subject line or body, in addition to the PDF attachment of the quote (or invoice or statement) form. It would be very easy to create an email cover with the text you specified as the email body.

To set this up, go to the Edit menu and see Email Cover Sheets - provided that emailing is allowed in User Preferences. You can even include database fields in the email subject line or body from the customer/prospect/quote. Once saved, that email cover code can be selected when emailing from the Print Quotes screen - just like all other Adagio programs that support emailing forms.

Hello Barb:
You have 2 options to avoid running up and down stairs.
1) When printing, click on the "Setup" button and select a PDF printer (all recent Adagio modules come with the AdagioPDF driver). Then start an email and attach the PDF file.

2) Use Adagio's emailing capabilities (including the cover sheet set-up as described by Support) and direct the email to Outlook. As long as you have Outlook set up to not send immediately, you would have the opportunity to add your message to the cover sheet.
