Is there a fast way to look at an account (i.e. 1300 Inventory Control) and see the numbers for several years as of a certain date? (i.e. As of Aug 30, 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009, 2008 & 2007)

I want to create a graph in excel for this account and other accounts to see where there have been large fluctuations over the years.

The only method I found is to look each amount up in Ledger and paste it into a spreadsheet for each year and manually put it together.

Hi Susan,

The Financial Reporter should be able to handle this easily, either for balances or net changes. Prefixing any field code with {n} will give the numeric result for the same field but n years ago.
