Dear Forum,

I have a ghost batch which was deleted but still appears in the Batch Status Report value $0 and it was deleted.

How do i eliminate this deleted batch from the report.

Stopping me from doing my year end.

Before I tell you a workaround, make sure you are using the latest version of Ledger, this was a problem in the past which has been fixed.

Also, run Data Integrity Check and if there any errors, rebuild them and try again.

Does the Ledger data pass an integrity check?
When printing/previewing the batch status report, with all statuses selected, what is the status of the batch?

The way to remove batches from the control files is to print and purge the batch status report, as you are doing. Unpurged batches from this report would typically be due to corrupted data, or the batch wasn't selected to print on the report and thus was not cleared.

Deleted batches are supposed to appear in the Batch Status with a status of "Deleted".

I believe that what you might be referring to is the fact that to complete the year end, at some point Adagio will want the batch status to be cleared. Print the Batch Status report to Paper and/or PDF and when you have the record of this report in all of the formats you desire, go ahead and clear the batch status. This should allow you to continue with the year end.

PS: Now seeing the other replies - I guess I took the body of your post too literally. The others seem to think that you are trying to Print & Clear the Batch Status report and the system is not clearing it (and I now see that the Subject of your post leans that way) which was an issue that had surfaced periodically in past versions and was fixed. Please let us know what version (including release date) you are using.

I'm having this issue now with a client as well.

They are using Ledger 9.0D(111017) and we can't seem to clear the batch status report.

I set the report to print to a file, then when I click print, it creates the file, but then the batch status report closes out.

It doesn't prompt me to clear.

Any ideas on what the issue is?

Perhaps there are no batches to clear? If all of the batches reported are sitting in Batches window, you won't receive the prompt.

When I click on Next Year or Previous year, it gives me a prompt that there are no batches to clear.

But when I click on current, it doesn't say anything. That leads me to believe that there is something there that just won't clear.

Archiving the batches was the issue.
