We just did our upgrade to the latest SA. I have several inquiries that I do at the end of each month. In the past I have been exporting them to Excel and doing some work on them.
Did you move the Excel button from the screen or maybe it's in invisible ink? Please let me know where it went to. Thanks

You need to make sure that Enable SF Export is turned on for the User under File | Users.

I have another problem with what the export contains.
I tried to print the same report (and others) and get the same result so I think I may have to modify my existing report but cannot find a field to change.
What happens is that after I view the report I go to details. Each detail page shows up by using the next or previous key.
When I export or print all I get is the detail page that I am sitting at. The export used to include all pages. Please point me in the right direction.

A client request was to change the behaviour of the Excel direct process on the Online Inquiry drill-down screen, to send only the displayed transactions to Excel, rather than all of them. This was implemented in Sales Analysis 9.0A.

As it turns out, this request is the opposite of how you would like to have Excel Direct work for Online Inquiry details.

For the time being, you could use Transaction Filters (a new feature of SalesAnalysis 9.0A), to select all the details you want, and load this filter in the Edit Data function. There is an Excel Direct button that will export all details that meets your criteria, similar to using Online Inquiry but not identically so.

I received a call from a client this week regarding this same thing. They too want to be able to export all details rather than just the displayed transactions.

We really fixed a bug in SalesAnalysis, because everywhere you hit the ExcelDirect button in Adagio we send out what you are looking at - the behavior in SA was "wrong". (Although it appears that several of your clients got used to the bug!)

If you want the SA details in Excel, then there are two approaches to take. Either create a different Inquiry which selects and displays the information you are looking for, or create a Filter to isolate the records and then use the ExcelDirect button from the Inquiry Grid.

And of course, File | Export is still available.

This is the way it should have been done at the outset. We won't be changing it back.
