I am making another special appeal.
Can the software be adjusted to enable the Invoice Module Posting sequence to auto update of the Inventory Module. I am having problems with a client whose staff refuse to do timely imports which is causing me grief. Since yesterday evening via remote I have been trying to complete an import Adagio Shipment Batch Import

Help guys .....

I agree with you that it would be great to see tighter integration from invoices to inventory.

But in the meantime, that import should certainly not be taking anywhere near that long (3 hours for 10%). There must be something in their environment that's getting in the way. Grab a copy of the client's data and run the same import on your machine to compare the time. Most likely culprit is an Anti-Virus / firewall program. Try adding exclusions for Adagio folders, disabling or even uninstalling the AV products to see if there's a difference(sometimes uninstalling is the only solution for certain AVs).

http://screencast.com/t/ZVHVUPup finally completed.

I agree and we are looking at the possibility of upgrading. I did it on my local machine took about 30 min so I knew it was going to take long. Normally I just do same directly from my special server installation.

Thanks for your response.

Hi Edward,

Ryan's right - there's something not right about what's happening here. This import should complete in a couple of minutes at worst. Please copy the data to a local drive and see how long the process takes. (Or better yet, copy the data to your machine to remove the variables of your client's compute environment entirely.)

Get back to us with the results.

PS - Invoices has never had a direct link to Inventory as it has most commonly been used in an environment where there would be little benefit in that tight an integration. Our minds are open to being changed however!
