Our view toolbar does not show the drop down box for the year - The view toolbar is open and the rest of the buttons on that tool bar are showing.

FYI: We had a short year in 2009 - for 5 months.

Also - what is the correct procedure if you have a short year (only 5 months) when creating the fiscal calendar?

For displaying the toolbar in the Financial Reporter, you need to reset it to show all available buttons and dropdowns. View / Customize and on the toolbar screen, highlight the View menu and click the Reset button.

Note that the Financial Reporter in Adagio Ledger (9.0A or later) has a year to select. Adagio FX does not.

For doing a short year end, this is something that you likely want your Adagio consultant to be involved with. There are many complexities, including what to do for your financial statements and historical years.

A 'Coles notes' list would be:
- Don't post any batches past the short year end date. If any have been, Unpost those batches.
- When you reach your short year end date, immediately run Open Next Year and Close Current Year.
- Edit the fiscal calendar for your newly created year to use the new dates.

There are also other possible steps, including editing the current fiscal year calendar dates to ensure the 'Fiscal year' code is created with something that synches to the next fiscal year. There are other postings on this forum that you could search for. But again, your Adagio consutant would be better able to assist than a tech forum.
