I just discovered a problem with our reorder report from Adagio Inventory 8.1B, OE 8.1C packing slips issued today do not have the stock showing up on the re-order report for our buyer to purchase. We recently updated all our modules a couple wks ago so this maybe something new that is happening with the new releases. The settings may have been changed when updated if so please let me know what I need to do to get the orders to show up on the reorder report. These items in question we need to purchase are all special order non stock items and our option is set to print items with less than min. level. This would usually show all items in a negitive position. I'm also wondering if a day end in inventory needs to be done first before these will show up on the reorder report. If so this is a new process that I never ran into before with previous releases of IC.

Quantity on Hand is not maintained for Non-Stock items. Only Stock items report Quantity on Hand. The Reorder report doesn't report on Non-Stock items.

Sorry when I'm refering to non-stock I mean items we don't normally stock. They have no reorder qty but all these items are checked off as active & stocking items in Inventory. So again I say that this is something new that is happening and these items did appear on the reorder report before the upgrades.

It's a concern if we have to do a day end to know how much to order on our purchase orders. This may cost us money to rush things in that should've made the purchase order due dates.

When I run the report after placing items on order in OE, as long as the items meet the criteria on the report. For example, within the reorder data accessed from either Edit | Item Maintenance | Reorder Data or from the Reorder tab within the item, I have the appropriate periods and minimum/maximum quantities specified for the items.

For example, when I post an order for an item and the quantity ordered would reduce Qty on Hand to below the minimum reorder quantity specified, this item shows immediately on the Reorder Report when I have the 'Minimum level' option selected on the print window.

Is it possible the item(s) has been made Inactive and you have the 'Suppress inactive items' option turned on in the Print Reorder Items window?

My reorder data for both these items that were in question in this senario both had reorder data min/max as zero. Reorder report included beginning and ending item numbers that included these two item numbers. Specification was to print items with quantity less than min level. Min. level being zero it should've printed items on sales order there was no stock for.

After printed this report 4 times these items never appeared on the reorder report. Suppress inactive items was not checked. (Even if it was one of these items would not be considered inactive since it already had stock, just not enough and it is purchased regularly) No, it's not possible that these items were changed to inactive and back to active afterwards. I checked they are active. Only after running Day end on inventory did these items appear on the reorder report.

I know this was not the norm and I'm glad to hear you say that this procedure for printing this report hasn't changed.

It maybe just a one time clich. I'll know more when I test this again next wed/thur on these wkly buys.

I'm going to run data integrity check on oe/ic tonight. Data Care runs nightly but I know integrity check on the modules themselves can pick up other things.

Ok I've had this situation occur again on one of our workstations. The items required to be ordered based on what was on sales orders did not appear on the reorder report when running it on our Buyers computer.

I then proceded to run the reorder report on my computer. The items in question did now appear. I didn't have to run day end to get them to appear. I had the buyer reboot his computer and then run the report again and the missing items did appear on the report this time.

The Vendor items in question that the reorder report needs to search is more then 1800 items. Then prints. I suspect it is a ram issue with our buyers computer and will not search all the items. This was never an issue until I upgraded. He has XP and the computer is not that old but we'll look into adding ram and see if that makes a difference. If you have any other suggestions let me know short of deleting all my inventory items. I ran the reorder report from my Vista machine and works fine. This report with this version processes extremely quickly now which is great but is it too fast for the older computers?

This isn't something that we've heard of before. Which options were chosen when printing this report? I assume 'Less than Zero' or 'Less than or equal to Zero' as these are the only two options that use Qty on Sales Order as part of the selection. How about the other sort and seletion options?

Perhaps some report range was incorrectly set (ie blank to blank) but when you printed it, the range became correctly set, which then fixed it for the other station?

We are working on changes to the Reorder report for a future release of Adagio Inventory, so perhaps the issues you are running into will be resolved then.

After our Buyer came to me to run this report. I immediately ran the report on his computer also and I did get the same thing with the items not showing up.

This report is run with nothing checked, and print items with qty less then minimum level.
Since we were in a negative stock position with these items and min stock level is zero they should and finally did print.

Ranges were fine since the report did print just not with all the items that should be on there. I find it interesting though why is it only the most recent sales orders items not appearing initially.

print option is Item number then the range usually is 30aaaaaaa to 30zzzzzzz or the beginning and ending numbers in the 30 series
in this case. It looks like I can work around this for now but thought I should let you know. thanks

Do you know if Day End Processing had been run in OE? It might be that items recently invoiced but not yet processed could have an effect, because these items would have 'qty shipped not costed' and perhaps the calculation on the re-order report isn't taking this into consideration.

Just a guess as to why only recent orders might be affected.

If the report works (albeit not with all expected items), but then is correct later on, then some data condition - perhaps just a matter of timing - is the likely culprit. Not corrupt data, only the values for quantities.

No, Day end was not run when we ran the report. I know the one item in question was not billed since we did not have any of this product in this week. A sales order only was made up and a picking slip printed and this was done this morning. After lunch our buyers runs the report for last min additions for the truck coming in. So qty shipped not costed was not an issue in this case. I don't see how the values of the quantity had changed. However like I originally said a few wks ago When I ran the reorder report after Day end processing the missing items did appear on the reorder report ran from my buyers computer. However he did have to close Adagio for me to run day end. So he had to refresh his computer and get his ram back up to par. Yes I don't really understand why there is a delay in getting these new sale order items to appear either. For now I'm telling him to reboot his computer before he does his final buy for this vendor. Refreshing it seems to work.
