We are Not Receiving Emails on the Success or the Failure of the Backups communicating with WebSafe Application. - The Backup works great except its not sending notifactions messages my to my email a success or failure of the task?- Larry at Web Safe says its a Softrak Issue? Any idea's on how I fix this small issue??

Hi, Lester,

What version of DC are you using? Do you have 'Backup error considered a fail' turned on for the job? Is DC running from a w/s or the server? As a delayed job or check now?

If the Adagio backup fails and this option is turned on, you should receive an email. You'll also need to ensure the Company Profile settings for Email are also correct.

Do you have 'Backup error considered a fail' turned on for the job?---->>> YES
-
Is DC running from a w/s or the server?--->> YES (Server)

As a delayed job or check now?--->> Running as Delayed Job at 9:00Pm every night-

Is the Company Profile settings for Email are also correct.-->> YES

In the company profile, on the Backup/Email tab you have the ability to send a test email. Does the test email work?

Is the company profile set to use MAPI or Direct for the send method?

If MAPI, it sends through Outlook, but not before you're required to hit OK to a couple of warnings. If the job is running delayed and nobody is there to click OK, the email won't be sent.

Try running a manual check on this job to see if you get an email that way.

If that works, change the delayed run time to say 5pm and watch to see what happens when it runs. I have seen subtle differences between delayed/scheduled and manual/check now operations. Perhaps this is the case here.

Instead of launching the job as a scheduled task, launch DataCare and select the job to run as you are watching.
