Re: DataCare

I have an IC integrity error question:

Category TMI item count is 111, but should be 110

Actually we have 27 items in this category!

Should I just ignore this kind of error?

Perhaps you have 27 items in that Category but the Integrity Check is finding 110. I would want to know where it is finding the other 83 items.

Sine neither Tech support nor Andrew answered my question, I assume IC integrity is fine then?

I wouldn't make that assumption. Where is the integrity check finding the other 83 items? It doesn't make this up.

Thanks. I did an integrity check in IC and it was complete with no error.

My boss made an IC enquiry in GridView and the Category items count was correct as reported in DataCare.

My question. I ran a report in Item Valuation to compare with Data Care.

Sort order: Category code, location code
Selection: Items with control account set STANDARD INVENTORY
Category code [TMI] to [TMI]
All locations
Options: Include all quantities and costs
Valuation at Actual Cost
Show inactive items

Only 41 items(we have 131 items) printed. So what did I do wrong?

Perhaps the other 90 Items are not using the STANDARD INVENTORY control account set.

Thanks for the thought Michael! But they are all Standard Inventory. May be I have used the wrong report(Item Valuation in IC) for Category items? What report should I have used In Adagio Inventory?

Make sure you have IC v8.1B with the 20100317 Hot Fix installed. This corrects many issues that existed in the Item Valuation report.
