Good Morning,

I'm doing a drill down on a prior year figure. The first drill down gives me the correct figure of $31,447. The second drill down gives me account by account figures totaling $31,447. When I drill down one of those accounts for $6,449 I get an opening balance of $32,990 and a credit of $32,990 in May essentially causing this account to show be 0. which happens to be the current year results not the prior year. What is happening?

Thanks.

Next question - what specification code are you using to get the prior year figures? (LY, LYY, {1}Y or ??)

Hi SuzBem

Not to butt in here, but you should install the 7/13/09 Service Pack off of the Softrak website, and let us know if the problem disappears.

Not sure which to do first but I thought I would do the update. Could I please have a password emailed to me?

Thank you.

You will need to contact your Adagio consultant/reseller for the password.

Andrew asked what specification code I was using. It is BAL_PY.

Regarding the update, I've contacted my reseller for a password.

Thanks for the information.

When drilling down on Balance fields such as 'BAL', 'CURBAL' or 'BAL_Y', the screen that lists particular accounts will show balances for each account. When you drill down on an account to list amounts for the individual fiscal periods, the amounts that are display are the Net Changes for each period, not the ending balance as of the end of each period.

In the case of the 'BAL_Y' field which shows the balance of an account as of the same period last year, the fiscal period amounts on the drill down shows the Current Year net changes, not the Prior Year net changes. Is this what you are looking for?

If you change the code from 'BAL_Y' to '{1}BAL' - which outputs the exact same numbers - the drill-down to the fiscal periods will dispay the net changes for the prior year.
