1. I need to be able to change the unit price to 2 decimal places and to display as currency on my Purchase order print outs. How do I change this?

Hi Treasure,

1) There is a setting in PO company profile and the 'runtime variables 1' screen for 'Decimal places in unit price'. Do you have 2 here or a different value? This affects entry.

As for specifications, you need to edit the specification and change the 'display format' from 2 decimals to 3. Depending on whether you use extended specs or not will determine where you need to make this change - extended specs require the change on the 'sub-report' tab.

2) If you mean widening the unit of measure on the printed form, then you need to edit the specification(s) that print this information and widen the field object.

If you mean widen the size of the field on the entry screen, that is something you cannot change, though it appears wide enough to fit many characters.

Also, with respect to changing the 'display format' decimal places, you'll find that first you need to delete the original spec code, then add it back in again (even though it's the same code). It's the newly added code that you will change the 'display format' for.

well my computer is backing up now so I can't get in there at the moment. I know my decimal places are set to 2. I've previously checked that. Thanks for the info I will do the rest on Monday, have a great weekend. Thanks bunches.

It's the edit of the forms I seem to be having problems with.
I have done all my own forms for AR AP and OE so it is something I'm familiar with but PO's seem to be more limited. I'll get to back to you thanks for info.

Unless you have a warped mind (maybe you do), I can guarantee you that you will not be able to edit the PO form yourself. Knowing how the AP, AR and OE forms work is of no help whatsoever. ReportBuilder, the PO design tool, is just impossible for normal people to grasp.

When you give up (I sense that you will try anyway), give Ryan at Stief Group a holler - he will charge you but it's well worth it. I know Ryan is reading this so just reply when you have given up. That's what I do, and I make a career of consulting in Adagio.

Thanks so much ST support I got it, the key was to delete the code and put it in again . thanks a bunch that was the ticket.

ps: There is no default code for the unit price. If it was put in to begin with then users wouldn't have to redo the form.
