Seems like this checkbox is disabled in one of our client datasets. Not greyed out, but does not receive focus.

"But it worked with sample data..."

Anyone know what might cause this, or what we need to look for?

The checkbox option 'Header included' for importing batches is not enabled unless the option 'Header fields on each record' is already selected. The reason is that the 'Header fields on each record' option implies an Excel-type layout where column A is always a particular field, column B is another field, and so on. In this case, a header recor in the import file will make sense.

If 'Header fields on each record' is not selected, this implies a file layout where 'header' fields are on one row for each entry, followed by one or more distribution 'detail' rows following. In this case, a single header record doesn't make sense because column A would contain different information, for the 'header' and 'detail' rows.
