We are thinking of upgrading our computers to Vista Business. When we upgraded to XP Pro I got great instructions on how to install on this forum - hopefully I will get the same to peer-to-peer installation for Vista Business. We have two computers connected via peer-to-peer network with only one computer able to run Adagio at one time.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, Brenda

The TechTips area on the Softrak web site has the information you need with reference to installing on Vista.

Comment from the sidelines:

Switching to Vista is not an upgrade. It can most kindly be described as a change of platform. (Other people have far stronger words .)

Unless there are specific features you need in Vista, you might be better advised to wait for Windows 7 sometime later this year. It apparently fixes many of the problems and annoyances of Vista, including network setup.

However, you will not be able to upgrade from XP to Windows 7: you will have to go through Vista first.

I never recommend upgrading an operating system. I hope you are considering buying new machines with Vista installed. I'd probably also agree with Ralph about waiting now until Windows 7 is officially available.
