1. How do you revise a quote to change the revision number from an A to a B? I can not locate any info about revisinos in help

2. Can you add prospects on the fly, after you say you want a new quote, can you input the information similar to order entry when you can enter a customer in the order process?

3. The tax code descriptino does not show when you click the magnifying glass to show the tax codes. Can this be changed?

4. What happens when the expiry date arrives, will the quotes still be accessivble, or are they then placed in some type of hold pattern and no longer workable?

Hi Jim,

1) You need to enable Revisions in the Adagio SalesCQ company profile. On the Quotes tab, there is a Revision drop down field from which you can select 'None' or a range of styles. It sounds like you want the 'A' style for revisions.

2) Yes. In the SalesCQ security (File / Group setup), edit the Security Group code and on the Options tab, ensure that 'Create Customers during quote entry' is selected. This controls Prospects as well as Customers.

If this is for the SYS user, you can do the same thing from the Maintenance menu and Define Quote Entry template, on the Options tab.

3) Where are you accessing the tax code finder? This works for me when accessing the tax code from either within quote entry or editing customers or prosepcts. Perhaps all you need to do is edit the finder grid (open the grid and double-click on the grey title bar) and reset the grid in the Column Editor.

If this doesn't work for you, please indicate which finder you are using that doesn't have the description.

4) The expiry date is simply informational. If you have entered a quote with an expiry date and that day arrives, nothing happens to the quote - such as being put on hold. You still have full access to the quote. It is mostly for reporting purposes.

Note that there is an Expiry checkbox that you must click in order to officially designate the quote as being expired. There is no 'period processing' function that will automatically set the Expiry checkbox on all quotes past the expiry date.

Thank you for your speedy reply. I can not locate in the company profile any check boxes in reference to revisins. there is one drop down box that allows me to change from "A" to "1", "01", etc. and this is set for "A". Where do i find the check box for allow revisions?

Hi Jim,

When you Edit an existing quote, you will see a Revise button on the form. Saving the quote using this option will bump the revision number.
