Client is missing part of a posting in GL. AR Cash batches were posted and retrieved. GL batch status report shows 83 transactions with a total of 390,439.69.

The client tells me some of the transactions are missing.
The posting was cleared but using a source journal to recreate the GL batch, I can find only 33 of the transactions. This represents the first 4 and 2/3 batches from AR.
I used broad parameters on the source journal.
Data integrity is fine.

First of all, the GL batch status total and the AR cash batch status total may very well be different because the GL batch status is the ABSOLUTE value of the total of the transactions while the AR cash batch status is the NET value of the total of the transactions.

Second of all, if data integrity is fine, then it is highly unlikely that the transactions are really missing. More likely is that they were consolidated because the account(s) they were posted to were flagged as consolidated accounts. This would explain why they don't appear on the source journal. The posting journal would prove this out, it's too bad you can't get it.

If you do an aging report from AR and compare it to the AR Control Account in the Ledger, that hould prove if the AR batch was retrieved correctly.
