I wasn't aware that employees in our office were getting the message asking if they wanted to retrieve batches from AP and AR when opening JC. I checked the settings and only mine has the "retrieve batches" option checked off.

I thought perhaps they were asked if they wanted to retrieve, but they wouldn't actually be allowed to do it. I went through the steps with them, and they certainly could retrieve the batches. Is there something in the settings that I'm missing? I don't want everyone to have access to retrieve batches from other modules.

Sorry - you are correct that the security prevention for Retrieve Batches is not catching the warning message when first signing in. This means a user who should not have to opportunity to retrieve batches from AP/AR/IC/PR into JobCost in fact can from the sign-on retrieval message.

This s something we need to fix. Thanks for bringing it to our attention - it has been this way all the way back to version 6.8A.
