This is an odd one. We received a purchase order with multiple items on it. Because it was completed, it is no longer "open" in that module, ie it cannot be modified so we KNOW it was ALL received. All except ONE of the items is showing up in the "Quantity" tab in the inventory module. If we click the "load" button on the "Transaction History" tab, the receipt number is there, with the correct quantity. But nothing is showing up in the "Quantity" tab.
Something went awry, but I cannot track what this may have been. The Day End on the Purchase order looks fine, and I have run Data Integrity checks in both Inventory and Purchase Orders, with no errors showing up.
So what we are left with is the receipt showing in the transaction tab, with the correct quantity show, but no actual quantities on hand.
Any ideas?

What PO module are you using, what version and what release date? If it is Purchase Orders for Adagio, the most current version is 2.10 dated 4/17/07.

If the following doesn't correct your problem, please contact Ryan or Brian. 800 540-3164

This is odd. The End of Day posts the transaction to the Inventory History file, independently of the update to the Quantity on File. This means that something has happened to your Inventory File when the Receipt was actually posted in Purchase Orders.

Please backup your data and do a data integrity on both Inventory Control first, and then Purchase Orders second. I would normally suggest fixing the errors reported, and we expect that you will have some data discrepancies reported in Inventory Control. When the data integrity checking is completed for each module, and errors are detected, you should click on rebuild.

Do this Data Integrity when no one else is in the system,(or needs to be in the system), and I would estimate allowing an hour for the processing to complete.

Brian, we really needed to use this item, so I manually did a correction to our inventory. I had done the data integrity checks in both PO's and Inventory, and nothing had shown up in either as an error to rebuild.

I am puzzled as to what happened, and will watch to see if it happens again.

Thank you for your interest.

For any item there is a transaction history that should allow you to reconcile the in's and out's to come up with the current quantity on hand.

Just because you received 10 does not mean that you will have 10 on hand, you may have had a negative quantity of 10 when you received this item.

The easiest way to review this items transaction history is to print off the transaction history report. Look for anything thta might account for the error.
