Hi All,
Please help me to solve one mystery.
After month-end and retrieval of subledger batches I reviewed sales numbers and noticed difference between GL vs OE sales. After more sorrow examination of OE and GL I noticed that one invoice in OE is missing. However it was in AR customer's current transactions list and in retrieved GL account. Data integrity shows no errors. All latest SPs are installed.

How it could happen? Is it possible at all? What could be done to recreate (restore) the missing invoice? What should be done to prevent this in the future?

Hi Victor,

Carefully check the date of the invoice. Has it been assigned to another fiscal period in the general ledger?

Hi Andrew,

Thank you for quick response. I double checked: invoice was dated Oct 27, posted in GL in FP 10 (October, 12 FPs, Year begins Jan.1st); in AR is dated Oct. 27; in OE invoice # does not exist (after 29485 the next one is 29487). I also checked continuity of invoices - only 29486 is missing.
Any other ideas, please.

Does OrderEntry pass the integrity check? Has it been moved to history?

Yes it does, all reports (sales, tax summary, etc.) were printed and cleared.

Hi Andrew,
I found the invoice 29486 in history.
What triggered moving only one invoice to history? What to do to prevent it happening in future?

Completed orders & invoices are moved to history as soon as they are complete. They are purged from current according to settings in the company profile. Incomplete orders are not moved to history until they are complete. If you check the settings in the company pofile carefully, and inspect the other orders processed during the day, you'll probably be able to explain the behaviour.
