I use a HP Laserjet 1000 series (USB connect) to print all Adagio AR, Invoice & GL reports except for Adagio AR 6.8B statement of account. When printing a range of customers? statements this printer will print only 1 statement which is the last of a range ie if you select 3 customers only the 3rd customer statement will be printed. Not only this the information in this statement will somehow include transactions from the 2nd statements. I direct the print to a parallel NEC dot matrix printer and all statements are faithfully printed sheet by sheet without any errors. To further prove this point I restore this particular client?s Adagio AR data to my other Adagio client?s WinXP computer and print onto a HP Deskjet 810C. It gives the same results as NEC dot matrix. Is the culprit due to HP Laserjet 1000 series incompatibility.

I can't speak to the compatibility of specific printers, as we don't have an HP1000 printer to test on - but we do have other HP printers which are fine.

If you choose multiple customers to print statements for, and select the HP1000 printer driver, and preview the statements rather than print, do you get one statement or 3? How about sending to the fax queue? This can help narrow down if the issue is printer driver-related, or hardware/print job-related.

Specifically, if the fax queue is complete, the print statements function is working (as you found when choosing a different printer). If print preview works with the HP1000 printer, then the print job being sent to the printer is incomplete - take a look at printer settings, time outs, etc.

Previewing the statements works fine with HP1000. Your opinion that print job sent to the printer is incomplete may be the answer. I will look into the printer setting as suggested and thanks for your prompt response.

Because of time factor to have the statement sent by 31/1/05, my client decides to drop using HP1000. We hook up a Canon LaserShot LBP-1210 Ver 1.00.0.018 and statements are printed without any hitches. For record purpose to those who may share the same problem with HP1000, the driver version is 5.51.0731.00 Firmware 20010730. Apparently there is a new update in HP website the version of which is 5.51.1519.00a Firmware 20020814. We download to replace the early version but we do not test how it will response in printing the statement.
