If I create a report with a group, and also put the group's selection field in the page header, when I run the report I get an extra page printed first containing just the header with the first selection field. The second page starts the report properly, including resetting the page number if that is selected.

(Detailed example using IC fields: create group based on IC65items.category. Put category field in page header. Report prints page with first category and no data, then continues to the second page with first category and correct data.)

Is there a way to suppress this extraneous page?

Please check the Section Formatting for each of your sections. Possibly, the Group Header section has been set to New page before.

Nope, New Page After is Selected.

Choosing New Page Before does not change anything.

(This is clearly a Crystal Rpts issue because I ran into the same thing running a CR report against a non-ACCPAC database.)

Try turning off New Page After on the Group Header and set it on the Group Footer instead.
