#196 - 09/11/99 03:00 PM Printing with A4W and Client Receivables

I have installed on my office machine both A4W and Client Receivables. I can't print any reports in CR unless I rename the uflcapw.dll file. After I renamed the file I was no longer able to print any Crystal Reports in A4W. Renaming the file back to the original name corrects the problem in A4W. In any event I am not able to print Crystal OE forms if CR is installed. I tested this out by erasing the Windows\Crystal directory and reinstalling A4W system manager and all reports print fine. I then reinstalled CR and problem noted above reappears. Is there a way to correct this situation now or will it be addressed in a future version.

Hello Allan,

QRW was used to create the reports in Client Receivables.

UFLCAPW.DLL is not compatible with the 4.0 version of Crystal that QRW is based on.

This issue will be resolved on a future release of Client Receivables. In the meantime, the workaround is to rename the UFLCAPW.DLL while CRWIN is being used.

You could make the renaming process a bit easier with a DOS batch file like this:

ren UFLCAPW.DLL uflcapw.xxx
start /w (QRW path and start name)
ren uflcapw.xxx UFLCAPW.DLL

The /w is important since it makes the batch file wait until you exit QRW to run the next line.
