We are trying to create a new tax group in OE (no problem with this) but the new group carries over with it the tax status originally created in the OE Company Profile. So we tried to remove one of the statues but it doesn't hold. You go back into the company profile and it is there. We can't get rid of it.

We thought it may be tied to the Tax Summary and Tracking Reports so we printed and cleared those but no go.

OrderEntry is preventing the removal of tax statuses from the company profile, likely because current or historical transactions exist that could have transactions that use this status. Changing this would affect all tax groups, not just any new groups you would created. I don't expect that the data will ever have all transactions purged.

It is possible to add new tax statuses to the profile, but not remove them.

Usually you just leave the tax rate as zero for unnecessary jurisdictions in that group. Is having that tax status in the company profile causing a problem?

It is possible to restructure the entire Tax setup in Adagio but its a big complex job and not a one size fits all, so trying to explain this in a forum without access to the actual current setup and required new setup is beyond what is possible in a forum environment.

Thanks guys for the information. We have the issue in hand but the resulting modifications make the new tax group "look funny" since we can't get rid of it.

But as you say it is not causing an issue and it is left at 0. We were wondering just for "a looks" perspective.
