A client who emails their advices after their EFT run in Payables is getting the following message when sending them:

"A program is trying to send an e-mail message on your behalf"

While the emails themselves get sent successfully the issue is they have to keep clicking on the OK button after each advice so if they have a lot it is a you know what.

Anyone experience this? We think it may be their anti virus or one of those trust centre settings in outlook not sure.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hello,

That is a security message from Windows 7 when the MAPI email option is being used in the Adagio email setup. It's there to prevent malicious software from automatically sending emails.
Since Windows 7 is near end of life, they should just upgrade to Windows 10 and use the "Outlook" option in the Adagio email setup. They shouldn't get that prompt anymore. The other alternatives are to buy and download a program called "Click Yes" that will override that setting or to set up Direct settings using your SMTP server.

I should also mention that in some circumstances Adagio will still use MAPI to send email out of Adagio even in Windows 10. So if they are using Windows 10 and seeing this message, then "Click Yes" or Direct Settings is the only way around that security message that I'm aware of.
