You can sell inventory items using the Invoices module. But, unlike OrderEntry, it won't display the quantity on hand (unless you remember to pop the Finder), and it won't complain if you try to sell more than are on hand.

I would like to request that it do both of these. Even better would be if it updated the quantity on hand in Inventory real-time (as batches are posted). I realize that is a major change to the integration of these two modules.

One might ask why the user doesn't use OrderEntry. The main reason is that most orders are recurring orders, and Standing Orders in OrderEntry is not anywhere near as good as Archive Batches in Invoices for managing these.

Rather than a radical change to Invoices, what could be done to make OE Standing Orders work better? Improvements to Standing Orders may have a better chance of getting implemented.

I would need the ability to mass update like the Update Archive Batch function in Invoices, the ability mass copy/delete, and the ability to mass create orders.

Checking for item availability in Invoices seems a lot less radical.
