A client is now using APS to integrate credit card processing with Adagio for some of their customers.

They want to be able to easily see, on the customer grid, whether the customer has a credit card on record in Adagio, so it is available, for example, when entering an invoice in Invoices.

They use to be able to do this prior to version 9.3A,

Is there any field they can put on the customer grid to indicate that the customer has a credit card on record, without having to remember to maintain a flag field somewhere else? Ideally it would be the Card ID or the Vault ID of the preferred card, but I understand those fields are in a different table.

Please don't suggest the terms code; not only is that used for a different purpose, but they would have to remember to update it.

If not, please add such a field to the master table so that they can get what they used to have prior to the 9.3A upgrade.

Steve

Hi Steve,

There is a field called 'Preferred Credit Card ID' that is stored on the Customer Master file. This can be added to the customer grid, as long as the APS vaulted card was set as the 'preferred card'. This will display the Card ID for you, very much like previous versions of AR.

My client tells me that they don't have a field called "Preferred Credit Card ID". They do have one called "Preferred CC short name".

Are those the same thing? If so, why the different name?

Hi Steve,

It appears that the SmartFinder has this field information with the label your client identified, but the grids for the Finder and List grids used 'Preferred Credit Card ID'. They are the same information, and I don't know why they are differently labelled. Perhaps it was consistent one way and a change was made in one place during development and the other place was missed. I don't believe it was intentional to use two different labels.

Hello Steve,

The field titles have been updated in the Receivables 93A (190327) Service Pack. Field title: 'Preferred CC short name' in Smartfinder list of fields has been changed to 'Preferred Credit Card ID' to match the Customer Master.

The client would like to show this field in the archive and invoice grids in Invoices 9.3A (190318).

What is it called there?

And if the preferred card changes, which field do I tag in the Upgrade Archive Batch function to synch the batch with the customer master record?

Thanks

Steve

Hi, Steve,

Assuming that a Payment exists on the invoice (it doesn’t have to be authorized yet), the field to add is H-Credit card ID.

When the Column Editor fields are sorted alphabetically, the field isn’t grouped with the other H-payment (CC) fields shown further down in the Column Editor list.
