We're using Ledger 9.3A (170625)

We import batches with header detail using CSV files. We haven't had any issues until the latest upgrade and now we're getting the following error:

Default currency code is invalid.

We've looked under Field Defaults to set it there as we only use US dollars but don't see anything there. Ideas?

Hi Asantos,

I presume that your company doesn't use Adagio MultiCurrency, thus there should be no need to set a currency code in any transaction, including when importing batches.

Does your data pass an integrity check? The more likely reason for this error is that the underlying code is blank somewhere in your data.

I tried with sample data and the default CSV Header Detail file and could not replicate a problem. I expect that your file layout is probably different than the sample layout.

I didn't find any known issues to do with importing batches failing on a blank currency code. You likely will need to get your Adagio Consultant involved in this.

Thank you for checking.

We do not use either of those modules... just AP, Bank Rec and GL. We've tried several journals... all which have worked since 2008. We've checked for trailing spaces, etc.... and nothing.

Hi again. We've gone through all the provided sample data instructions and still can't find anything referencing this issue. As far as we can tell, our import file should work. Is this a set up issue with 9.3A?

Hi Asantos,

The only change to importing batches in Adagio Ledger 9.3A as compared to the previous version 9.2B was that a new "Hdr-Attach PDF" field was added to support the future release of the Adagio DocStore program. Nothing else should have changed in the process for importing batches. Since you don't use MultiCurrency, the fields related to currency codes are not visible to the import batch process.

Just because I was unable to replicate the problem in sample data doesn't mean that there isn't a problem. It's likely that your import template is different than sample data. Perhaps there is something 'corrupted' in the Import Field Defaults data file that should not be there.

This one will be difficult to troubleshoot over a support forum, especially if something changed unexpected in the import template and is not visible on the surface. I would recommend getting assistance from your Adagio consultant, who can take a look at your data and the importing issue with you.
