Hi there,
We have set up a departmental expense report that they have been running for years. Lately when they do departmental print, the statement prints in a rolled up mode or sometimes is missing a few rows. The work around is to select each department - collapse and then expand the smart sheet. Then all rows are displayed.

Needless to say, this is tedious.

Their GL version is 9.2A 150903

I see a couple mentions in the 9.2B release notes for Financial Statement fixes, but they don't quite describe what is happening here:
>> Statement Group printing or exporting to Excel Direct had pages by department sorted in an unexpected way, with the All Departments selection. Now pages ar
e sorted as defined on the Statement Group item department list <<

>>
In Ledger 9.2B,leading spaces in Departments were not correctly handled when expanding a statement
<<

Let me know what you think and if this sounds like something that will be resolved when we schedule the upgrade.

Thx,
Carol

Does the specification have ".AutoUpdate" in cell A2? Are you using a Statement Group to print the departments or File | Departmental Print?

Hi Carol,

The issue that was resolved in the 92B upgrade had to do with Excel exporting a Statement Group with the 'All departments' selection, and the order of the tabs in the Excel spreadsheet was not the same as listed in the statement group setup. This doesn't sound like the same issue as you described.

I found one issue specific to Departmental Print that was addresses in Ledger 92B, perhaps the original May 2016 release, to do with repeating hidden rows. If your clients problem with the expand is easily repeatable, you could try it in your office with 92B prior to installing the upgrade at the client, so see if that helps.

I see Andrew also has a couple of suggestions.

Ok, thanks we are working on scheduling the upgrade, hopefully withing the next week or so.

Andrew -- yes, they were using File - Departmental Print.

Not sure about AutoUpdate in A2, I can't recall, but I'll check that next time I'm logged into their system.

Thanks,
Carol
