We have a second A/R subledger feeding into our GL and we are getting an error when we try to look at the applied detail in the customer transactions - shown in the attached screen grab. When we click 'OK' a few times the error goes away and the detail shows, but the account description then says "*** Account deleted ***" as shown in the second attached file - the account numbers are valid. We don't get these errors in the secondary A/P subledger. Everything does seem to be working fine, but it's a bit of a nuisance...any idea how to correct it?

It doesn't look like your "second A/R subledger" has an associated general ledger to look up account descriptions.

In the Folder containing your second A/R subledger, search for the files ??GLOB.* and inspect the list found. For every ARGLOB.dat you should see a GLGLOB.dat where dat is your file extension.

Should this GLGLOB file be from the original (secondary) subledger's data or copied from the data it is feeding into?

Ex. Company ABD is the secondary subledger, and VP2 is the main company GL. Should the file be brought in from ABD's original subledger data or from the main GL data of VP2 and change the extension to ABD?

...and what was it that made the A/P work fine?

Sorry, only your Adagio Consultant is familiar enough with your installation to be able to answer that question.

Well I tried it both ways and neither way worked.

We recently amalgamated companies and I combined the Adagio subledgers myself (as discussed in this thread: http://softrak.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/topics/45499/1)...and it all went fine except for this part. Since our consultant wasn't involved with combining the companies would he have more insight than this forum?

I think what Andrew is trying to say is that solving this problem requires someone with a Consultants level of expertise in Adagio and hands on knowledge of your specific setup, if not from actually doing the amalgamation then from connecting online to see what you have done that needs to be corrected.
