I recently updated my payables to 9.2A and find the date field requires mm/dd/yy format rather than the dd/mm/yy that I was used to using before when inputting invoices, cheques, etc.. Can I reset to the format I have been used to using or is this a change that I will have to adjust to?

Hello Margaret:

For the entry of date fields, Adagio modules use the format that is defined in Windows. Go to the Windows Control Panel and open the "Region and Language" icon. Change the "Short Date" to the format that you want and save the changes. If you have any Adagio modules open, you will need to close and re-open them to see the change.

Guess I will just have to retrain my brain (and fingers) since Windows 8 doesn't have a dd/mm/yy option in their settings. Thanks anyway

Hi Margaret,

You likely can enter customized formats within Windows Regional Settings, unless Microsoft removed this in Windows 8. There may be an 'Additional Settings' button, from which there is a Date tab to enter the short date format of your choice. This is what I did for Windows 7.

There are some options but not the one I am used to and it won't accept it if I try to add my own. Just hard when my invoices come with dd/mm/yy and then I have to change how I enter it and get my head thinking in reverse.

Hi Margaret:

Is this a new computer for you? If so, you may have to change the "Region and Language" setting from "English (United States)" to "English (Canada)" to get the dd/mm/yy date format. But that may have an effect on how cheques print so test print a single cheque after making the change.
