Job Cost -> Maintain -> Retrieve Batches shows an Inventory Control batch that needs to be retrieved (it is checked). I click Proceed and the window closes. But nothing happens. There is no following "Transactions Received" windows. And, if I go back to Maintain -> Retrieve Batches, Inventory Control Transactions remains checked. That is, Adagio sees the batch.

Why is it not importing and clearing?

Current Adagio Job Cost and Inventory modules.

Gets weirder. I took a copy of my client's company database and set it up on my server and my Adagio. Now I retrieve here and the batch comes over successfully. But it fails with the same database on my client's computer.

Run DIC?

There has to be something different between your Adagio install and your clients. It's not the data so DIC will not help. Are you sure the installs are identical, same installed Service Packs and Hot Fixes?

Hi, Matt,

I suspect the site is running AJ8.1C and you are running 8.1D. There was a problem in 8.1C wherein IC transactions could not be retrieved. This is one of the reasons why we always ask for version(release date) information. It's another tool to help us determine if something is a known issue that has been fixed or not. Searching or browsing the Help | Readme help file for a product in the Enhancements & Revisions topics for Problems Fixed is another good tool to keep in your box of tricks.

Yes, that was the problem. I updated client JC and IC to latest with service packs, tried again and, this time, the missing batch was found and retrieved.
