Is it possible to copy all the statement groups from the Financial Reporter to FX? I don't see an option to "import statement group". It would be handy because there is a fair bit of work involved in creating statement groups.

a secondary and related question: in FX what turns on the ability for a user to print a Financial Statement Group in the security settings?

I have turned on "Print Financial Reports" under "Reports". The specific user has been given access to the departments within the Statement Group. The Statement Group shows up under "Reports", "Print Financial Statement" but when it gets to the part where it should prompt for the fiscal year and fiscal period, nothing happens.

Hello Lyndon,

I have added a suggestion to the wishlist for copying Statement groups from Ledger to FX.

For the 2nd question, I copied this from the Help: Working with Statement Groups:
You may wish to specify the fiscal period for a statement group prior to each printing. To do so, once you've added the statement group to the statement group window, right-click on the statement group name. A pop-up menu will appear.

On the menu, click the Specify Fiscal Period option.

Once this option is turned out (as indicated by a checkmark to the left), every time you print Adagio will prompt you to set the fiscal period you wish to use.

Yes, the settings for Fiscal Period and Consecutive Page numbering are both turned on. When logged in as the System Administrator the Statement Group works as expected. When logged in as the Education Director (limited access) The Statement Group shows up in the Reports menu under print financial statements but does not actually print. Inside the Financial Reporter the Statement Group does not show up at all.

My question is, in the Security Group setup what has to be enabled in order for a user to be able to print a statement group? Right now I have "Print Financial Reports" enabled but it is not working. This security group is set up as a view only group so no posting or editing is enabled.

Hi Lyndon,

My guess is that the Education Director does not have access to one of the departments referenced in the Statement Group. It's driven by the departmental security set up for the User.

I have double checked that the user has access to the 15 departments that I have in the Statement Group. The Financial Statement Group spec file items under the group have only those departments checked off. I have a departmental summary (one spec file) that is listing those 15 departments and a budget variance report (one spec file) that is set to print one page for each of the 15 departments that have been checked off for that spec file.

Log in as user SYS and launch the Financial Reporter. View the Statement Group panel. Right mouse click on the Statement Group and select "Allow Users" from the context menu. Enable the Statement Group for the users you want.
