I was entering a number of orders in OE and then had to bring a quote over. I went into SalesCQ, updated the quote, and then hit Alt O-V-O, thinking I was still in order entry. I received a message asking if I wanted to create a new revision for this quote, realized what I had done, and clicked No. Now the strange part.

The details on the quote where gone. The tax was still showing, and the discount base shows the amount that was the subtotal amount. Closing and re-opening the quote has no effect. I've attached a screen shot. I edited it so the two tabs can be seen at the same time. This has happened before but I could never re-create it. One thing that did change was the quote went from showing printed to non-printed, but no change in revision level. I'm going to fix the quote and put it through.

Thanks

OK I was able to re-create it this time. If the quote is cancelled after the details disappear, choosing no to save changes will revert the quote back to normal. Saying yes to save changes will keep the quote as I've shown it. Not sure what would happen if the quote is then ordered (not going to try either).

Hello Mike,

I have not been able to duplicate this. What are you doing to update the quote?

To get to the Revision question, I have been choosing Alt-O on an open detail, then Alt-V to Revise.

However, the details show up each time.

Good Morning Support

Go into an existing quote and edit a field (I entered a customer PO# in the reference field and tabbed out), then holding the Alt key press O(Ok), V(Invoice), O(OK). That will bring up the revision message. Click no and you'll see all the details gone, and the Totals page will show nothing in the subtotal field, but the taxes are still there.

As I said, I had been doing a lot of orders in OE and after I finish an order I just hold down the Alt key and press O,V,O to invoice it (I rarely use the mouse in Adagio). I did the same thing in Quotes just out of habit.

Thanks

The first Alt-O closes the quote. Alt-V brings up View. I have tried entering the keystrokes really quickly but so far, I cannot duplicate this problem.

If I skip the first Alt-O, Alt-V will bring up the Revise message but No is not clearing the details for me.

I hold down the Alt key through the whole process - don't release the Alt key until the last O has been pressed.

When I hold down the Alt key, I wind up in View Quote each time.

I can send you a video clip of what I did if you like. Just to be clear, I'm holding down the ALT key the entire time; only the O,V,O are being pressed and released.

The only other before and after difference is that the quote was showing printed before, then not after.

Can't add anything else unless you would like a copy of my data.

Thanks

I have tried hitting that keystroke combination umpteen times. Quickly, slowly... I cannot duplicate the problem you are experiencing in sample data. Can you?

The Printed status is changing because you have modified the quote.

I've tried it with the sample data. No luck either re-creating the problem. I just I'll just have to be careful when I'm editing quotes. Very odd though.

Thanks for the help.

Your options are different than those in the sample data. That's what's causing the different behaviours.
