I am trying to add some optional fields to the Purchase Order module. I have some optional fields set up for the vendor but when I create a new PO, I want this field to show up. Is this possible. Is it possible to have Purchase Order optional fields that would not be tied to a vendor for example whether this PO is a capital asset.

No, it is not possible. PurchaseOrders does not have Optional fields.

I have added a suggestion for a future release.

Currently, you can print the Optional fields assigned to Inventory Items or Payables Vendors but you cannot edit them in Transaction Entry.
