So we've upgraded our server, and all our workstations. We've done a fresh back up of all our files - we're able to connect to Ledger, Inventory, and Payables with the same data - Receiving this error when trying to connect to AR Module HELP PLEASE.

Access violation at address 00404F32 in module receivables.exe Read of address 00000014.

Need help to get through this so we can convert to new pcs and servers.

Hi,

Sounds like you upgraded your Receivables data substantially and other modules also.

You need to either restore a backup of your pre-upgrade Receivables data and then upgrade it to AR9.0C followed by AR9.1A; or, download and install the AR9.1A hotfix and reconvert/upgrade your Receivables data using it. Copy the following link into your web browser: http://www.softrak.com/file_download_safe.php?file_id=R242649A122212

If you experience any difficulty doing this, you are best to contact your dealer who can provide the hotfix to you.

Hi,

We have seen this situation before as well when doing upgrades.

In our situations, the access error resulted from an incomplete resultant set of styles and definitions files. How we resolved was to copy the complete SD*.sam files from the AR sample data (\softrak\receivables\samdata) and replace the live SD files in your data folder.

Suggest that you cut out the live SD*.dat files before replacing and putting into a backup folder, and carefully restore these files when you get the access message in AR resolved. Your consultant should be able to help you with these tasks.

Not to say that the Hot Fix solutions and roll backs will not work, but we have had success with this other resolution before the said hot fixes were available.

Best,
Brian
