I've just come across 3 expense accounts that were set up as Balance sheet accounts. There have been postings made to them. I tried to change them to income/expense but Adagio won't let me. Is there a way to force this before I do year end? I'm on version 9.0D

If they are newly created accounts with no prior year postings ( the open balance will be zero ) then GridViewRW may be used to change the B to and I.

While it does not address your current problem, this demonstrates why it's worth investing an hour to assign your chart of accounts to Account Groups and turning on the validation in the Company Profile.

Once this is done, you never have to worry about this happening again.
