Hi All,
Along with Softrak's help I just resolved an issue that was causing great concern. On starting the Financial Reporter in Ledger, the FR blank spreadsheet type screen would appear but just before the icons showed as active, a Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library would report a "Runtime Error!" showing that "Program: x:\...\LedgerFinRep.exe" caused a "R6002 - floating point support not loaded" and offering only an [OK] button. OK would result in the FR screen closing and in some cases the system hanging and requiring the Task Manager end or in the extreme an entire reboot.
Removal of the existing Ledger install and a full re-install did not help, same problem persisted.
To cut a long story short, the LedgerFinRep.exe file (both the old one and the newly installed one) had been infected by the Win32/Sality virus and the first indication of this was that the file size had changed (grown).
Just thought a summary post on this recent adventure might prove useful to someone in the future.
Season's best and here's hoping that you don't get a virus for the holidays, Pete
