A non-profit we are putting a new server in for needs Adagio moved to the new server. They have one workstation running the following:

Ledger Ver. 9.0D
Payables Ver. 8.1D

From our understanding Adagio is installed from the workstation pointing to the Softrak fodler on the server.

They work on 2 companies in the Adagio application.

The new server will have a different name which will affect the UNC path that Adagio may rely on, but we can recreate the mapped drives the same as the old server.

Questions:

1) Can we do a straight copy of the Softrak folder to the new server or will we need to reinstall from the workstation to the server?

2) If a reinstallation is required, would it be best to install first to a new Softrak Folder on the new server and then move specific folders from the old Softrak folder to the new Softrak folder on the new sevrer?

Any help from the experts or some one that has experience with this would help a lot.

1) Yes, you will also need the QRASP folder, and if at one time ACCPAC Plus was installed on the server then the ASP folder and subfolders as well.

2) Yes, this only applies if the straight copy doesn't work.

The key is that recreate the same mapped drive letters.
