New installation works ok ON T/S. when trying to launch on a station I get the message Internal erroe: [2708] File handle invalid. Anyone seen this? Any ideas?

They both refer to making sure that none of the Adagio files are read-only. Interestingly, I couldn't find anything by using the Forum's "Search" function but I found these by using Google.

Thanks, Bruce. I also searched the forum and came up with absolutely nothing. After reading your message, I did a Google search on File handles +Adagio and came up with some very interesting sites where symphony orchestras around North America will be playing Handle's Messiah this Christmas, in case anyone is interested. Then I changed my Google search to read +Adagio accounting and the results were closer to yours.

I have often been frustrated with the search function on the Adagio forums and now know that Google will sometimes yield better results if the search terms are carefully crafted.

I searched Google with "file handle invalid 2708" thinking that I would find it is a generic Windows message. It turned out that the top 2 results are from Softrak forums. Now we know what is happening when the "Who's Online" on the right-hand side says "spider online"!

Here are some tips to help you searching for something on Google.

• If you are trying to find information on an error message, enter the exact, complete wording of the error message in quotation marks ("). If you get no hits (unusual), then start removing words that provide specificity to the error (like memory addresses).
• If you are trying to find something about Adagio, always include the word "accounting". Sometimes "Adagio accounting" or +Adagio +accounting works better.
• Always see what Google has to say. There's a reason it's the number one search site on the planet.

Do we know which Adagio forums the spiders search? Presumably they are limited to the public ones and we'll need to forum's own search engine to check anything else.
