We are using Inventory 8.1C. We use serial numbers quite extensively, and have noticed that we cannot always fit the entire serial number in the space provided. Adagio allows 15 spaces, and some of our serial numbers are 18 - 20 spaces.

Possible to amend for future release?

Anything is possible, but it would be a significant change to the database structure to allow this, so a change in this area would not be a quick one, nor imminently doable. The reason for the particular length is that 5 serial numbers fit in the same data space as the comment / instruction (75 characters).

Certainly I can log the request for the future.

Just a thought, but you could fit 3 x 25ch into that 75ch space and still preserve the data structure.

Conversion would be fun.
