We just had our year end inventory count, and are in the process of entering physical inventory (Adagio IC 8.1A).

There seems to be a problem whenever there is an existing QTY in IC, and we need to entere a physical qty of 0. We try and enter 0, but it just stays at whatever was in the qty field.

After we try and enter 0 on the same item a bunch of times, it may work - it seems to be at random.

Any ideas?

Is the issue that you make the change and it doesn't take? Or that you see the change but come back to it later and the change is lost?

The physical inventory list is refreshed every time the worksheet report is previewed or printed and the 'create workfile' option is selected. While you are entering qty changes, don't reprint the worksheet report.

I wouldn't necessarily suspect network rights or opportunistic locking issues, but ensure that these are set up correctly.

Could you indicate the keystrokes that you are using?

Perhaps add the 'Quantities entered' column to the grid so that it is easier to see whether the qty changed ("Yes") or if a change was not registered ("No"). In case entering a value is being cancelled instead of saved.

When we are entring physical inventory is there a way to default all to 'Yes' in the entered column? I'd like all the quantities to go to 0 unless someone actually goes into that item and enters a quantity.

This way anything we may have missed counting will come up on the reconciliation report.

The status of Entered=Yes occurs only when the field is actually visited and OK is selected or when physical inventory is imported but not posted.
