We allow some terms discounts, but not on misc charges (freight) or tax. In our OE Company Profile System Default we have not checked the box to apply discounts to miscellaneous charges, so the misc. chg. field appears on the Invoice Totals tab. But the base for discount still includes the misc. charge amount. This carries over to AR. How do we set this so that the base for discount does not include misc. charges? As stated, we have left the option to apply discounts to misc charges unchecked in the CP.

Hi Jody,

The option in the OE Company Profile to 'discount misc charges' has to do with order discounts as defined on the Totals tab of an order, not the 'Early payment discount' as what comes from Terms.

There currently are no settings to calculate the Terms Discount Base with misc charges or without. Only tax can be included or excluded with the terms discount base at this time.

Thanks for the clarification. We are experimenting with manually editing the Discount Base on the Totals screen to exclude freight. So far it looks like the desired effect is achieved by doing so.
