"The install is complete but the install has detected the follwoing files have been renamed because they could not be installed due to locking or rights issue
Contact Softrak for help"

well i called and they could not help.
what is the problem with installing this?

Hi, Kevin,

'the following files' were probably all ~GL*.TMP files that were located in one or more of the folders the install needed to fully access to complete the install properly. The install would have displayed a screen along with the message which showed each of the files and their location. When files can't be created and the install completed properly, these files may get left behind.

The most common reason(s) for this occurring is that the user doing the install doesn't have enough Windows rights to complete the install and/or an Adagio file(s) was open (i.e. in use) while the install was being performed.

While the ~GL.TMP files don't do any harm, they do take up space and clutter folders up so I would remove them. I would (1) make sure I had enough Windows access rights to perform the install and that (2) absolutely no one at all had Adagio open or was using any other 3rd party program that accesses the Adagio data. Then, I would do the install again. If you receive any message(s) at the beginning of the install that a file(s) is in use, you'll need to exit the install and start over.

If in fact no one at all does have an Adagio or other program open that accesses the Adagio data files, you may have to reboot your workstation(s) and possibly the server in order to release the files that your system has held in use.

If you are experiencing difficulties, it may be wise to contact your Adagio consultant, who is experienced in these situations.
