I presume you want your current fiscal year that was supposed to end in June 2011 to instead end in April 2011.
As Andrew indicated, you probably want your Adagio consultant involved in this change, as it is not a minor undertaking, especially with financial statements. But here is an over-simplified list of steps:
- Close periods for May and June so that you do not post GL batches to those periods.
- If you have posted batches to those periods, all of those batches must be Unposted and the transaction details removed.
- Enter any transaction batches that belong in May or later into an Archive batch.
- On April 30th or thereabouts, close the GL year just as you would have done on June 30th.
- After the close year, edit the Fiscal Calendar to represent the new layout for the fiscal year from May 1, 2011 to April 30, 2012.
- Restore the Archived batch(es), make any modifications to the fiscal period or other information, and post when required.
