When the items are added up in Adagio Invoices, the subtotal is less then what is owed. I have had this happen twice now. Once the customer informed us before it was posted in Adagio Invoices and the invoice was deleted and re-entered in a new batch, this time Adagio Ledger informed me that the entry was out of balance.

This last erroneous invoice had 23 item lines, and I beleive both invoices probably had many changes before it was finalized.

These 2 invoices were also in 2 different datasets. The errors occured while using Adagio Invoices 9.0A (100503), and Windows XP. There were also no data integrity errors found either.

But then I restored the problem invoice into an Archive batch and I am given the following errors:
Archive Batch 4405 Invoice 65939 total is 16,341.69 calculated is 16,396.24
Archive Batch 4405 Invoice 65939 pre-tax amount is 14,584.95 calculated is 14,639.50
Archive Batch 4405 Invoice 65939 home total is 16,341.69 calculated is 16,396.24

The problem is a corrupted batch/invoice. During entry, likely when adding or deleting items on invoices, the invoice total did not get updated on the removal of the item. I am surprised that a Data Interity Check would not have found this error in the Open Batch, as it did in the Archived Batch.

Some item for 54.55 was added to the invoice, but this amount did not get added to the invoice total for some reason.

As this has only happened twice in presumably hundreds of invoices or more, the problem is either a very specific set of keystrokes, or your workstation/network cannot keep up with the speed of the entry clerk.

The batch was posted when we did the data integrity, and I can't say whether the batch was open when data care did a check or not.
