Is there a quick method (or not so quick) to look up an Item in I/C (or O/E), and see who purchased it and for what price?

For example: I would like to find Item #AAA-000 and see who has purchased it recently, and what the Unit Price charged was.

It would be very helpful if this view were readily available. We may be on the phone with a customer and we would like to quote a fee for given products based on previous activity.

(In O/E, there is the "Load History" button on the "Prices" window . This allows us to see what we charged the customer in the past for the Item, but in this case I would like to see what other Customers were charged as well.)

SalesAnalysis can generate this inquiry pretty much instantly.

If you know your customer codes, you could also do a lookup in Inventory History of shipments, but I don't think it shows the Unit Price.

Hi Samuel,

In IC, you can go to the Transaction History function and do a lookup for one or more items, various other date and field ranges, and generate a list of items and the Unit Price and Unit Cost of the transaction (receipt, shipment, etc). Use the column editor to display the desired information.

From the Item Inquiry w Sales/Costs function, there is a Transaction History tab which will do the same thing, but for just a single item at a time (the one being viewed).

In OE, the History function has an Items tab which will allow a similar generation of details to see what price was given for that item.

When entering an order and a particular item detail, you can click on the Prices button and Show History for just that customer and item, to see the prices that customer has been invoiced for that item.

Sales Analysis is an application that can also determine this information, either by Online Inquiry or a GridView view on the Transactions file.

Thank you! Very helpful.
I especially find the O/E Display History function helpful, as it appears to be a bit more flexible than the I/C Inquiry. (or is it just me?)

The OE Display History function and SalesAnalysis are better if all you are interested in is sales information.

If you also want to see purchase, assembly, adjustment or stock transfer information, then the I/C inquiry screen is better.
